ay late." I walked around the field finding unusual shots and preping for gametime. It was nostalgic for me because only three years ago I began my sports photography career on the same field (with a Nikon Coolpix, I admit). I was on assignment for the athletic department so I knew they would need some photos for media guides. I tried to get some generic stuff. I have learned to shoot everything even if you only have a specific assignment. I got a couple that might work I hope.I planned ahead and decided to carry a strobe with me so that I could use it at any time. I also kept my transmitter on my camera the whole time. I don't really like the canon trigger because it doesn't fire half the time. And if you're out in the sun
you might get it to fire once out of five times. Nonetheless gear in hand I had fun shooting in the tunnel as the teams came in and out of the locker room. This is my favorite photo out of the bunch. I took maybe 35 while I had the chance. As the game began I was stoked. I rented a 300mm/2.8 L series lens from Pictureline. I have shot once with a 400mm and loved it, but it was my first time with the three huni. I had a great day shooting and I even sold an image to the Durango Herald. I can't wait to get back down to shoot more DSC events!!!
